Muriel Rabeyrolles, Notary - Les Belleville

Because a notarial deed involves significant financial stakes, our firm is committed to clearly informing you about the actual nature of the fees you will be required to pay.

Contrary to popular belief, “notary fees” consist, for the most part, of taxes and duties collected by the notary on behalf of the government. Only a limited portion corresponds to the notary’s remuneration, known as fees, which are set by decree.

However, current regulations provide for the possibility, under certain conditions, of applying discounts to these fees. These discounts are strictly regulated and apply only to certain types of deeds.

For the period from January 13, 2026, to December 31, 2026, our firm will apply the following discounts:

A 10% reduction on the portion of fees corresponding to the taxable base exceeding €100,000, for:

Gifts,

Gifts involving division of assets.

20% reduction on this same portion, for:

Divisions of co-ownership,

Partitions involving exclusively movable property, and therefore not published.

If you are considering purchasing real estate, you can estimate the associated costs (excluding specific discounts) using the official simulator:
